A bespoke walk-in bath installation designed to restore comfort, safety, and independence at home
This project focused on transforming an unsafe and inaccessible bathroom into a space that supports safe, comfortable bathing for a client with mobility challenges. The existing bath was no longer suitable, so a more practical and accessible solution was required.
By installing a deep soak walk-in bath and upgrading the plumbing and hot water system, we created a setup designed around ease of use and reliability. Every element was chosen to ensure the client could bathe comfortably and without unnecessary strain.
The completed bathroom now allows the client to bathe independently and with confidence, significantly improving both daily comfort and peace of mind.
Work Undertaken
We began by removing the old standard bath and altering all necessary plumbing to accommodate a deep soak walk-in bath tub. This bath provided the client with a safe and accessible way to enjoy a deep soak, offering a much-needed improvement in their daily routine.
To ensure ease of use, we fitted the bath with a thermostatic bath shower mixer, allowing the client to control water temperature with precision. Additionally, we installed a new 200-litre direct water cylinder to provide the necessary volume of hot water, ensuring the walk-in bath could be filled efficiently and comfortably.
Outcome
The installation of the deep soak walk-in bath transformed the client’s bathroom into a safe and accessible space, greatly improving their bathing experience. The thermostatic shower mixer and new water cylinder ensured a reliable and comfortable supply of hot water, while the walk-in bath offered the convenience and safety needed for the client’s mobility requirements.
